100 g gel contains 100,000 U.I. of heparin. And excipients: carbomer 940, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, ethanol, orange flower oil, lavender oil, trolamine, purified water.
Apply between 3 and 10 cm of gel 3 times a day on the affected area, massaging lightly.
Lioton Gel will only be applied on intact skin. It should not be applied to open wounds, which bleed or are infected, on mucous membranes or on extended skin surfaces.
The use of sodium heparin may increase prothrombin time in patients taking oral anticoagulants.
Long-term topical application may cause hypersensitivity. In these cases, treatment should be stopped and appropriate therapy established.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding:
There are no data available on the use of this medicinal product during pregnancy and lactation.
However, it is recommended that during pregnancy and breastfeeding the medicine should only be given for short periods and at the advice of the physician.
Rarely, erythema at the site of application or hypersensitivity reactions that disappear when discontinuing the use of the drug may occur.
No cases of overdose have been reported. Due to the low concentration of the active substance and the poor absorption of heparin, no significant systemic effects are observed. In case of accidental ingestion, symptomatic treatment is recommended.
